| The following series of paintings were made as a homage to specific musicians in afrocuban music's evolution. Some works were taken from old vintage Black and white photos, while others were taken from my own photos of direct encounters with the musicians as they played live. It is my hope that these artworks will become visual testimonies of the importance of the many latino musicians performing in this genre of music. |
